Natalie Dylan
Is it right for Natalie Dylan to auction off her virginity to fund her master’s degree based on Aristotle’s Definition of Virtue?
Based on Aristotle’s definition of Virtue, Natalie Dylan is right because her decision is likely to be located in the mean between the excess and deficiency. She has no choice but to offer her virginity since she wants to study for her master’s degree. Even though it looks like a wrong decision to offer herself based on Christian beliefs, after examining Aristotle’s definition of virtue and happiness, I can say that it might be right for Aristotle’s concept. Rather than doing bad things such as stealing or killing somebody (which I believed are the excess of the mean) or taking for granted her education just because of poverty (which is a good example of deficiency), she decided to offer her virginity to earn money (which is the mean).
